It is a good summary of the basic teachings of Joseph Fielding Smith who served as President of the Church in the early 1970's. I enjoy this book because it touches on the basic teachings of the Church in an easy-to read format. I would recommend this manual and any other manual in this series if you want an introductory course to the basic teachings of the Church. I would also like to recommend this manual to non-Mormons if you like to study comparative religions.Product details

Interesting subjects that are handled in a very clear and concise manner. You will come away with a better knowledge of the the gospel and a deep appreciation for a man who understands service to his fellow man and a love of the Lord.
I am no longer able to attend church due to disabilaties, so it is really nice that I am able to read the lesson on my White in the larger letters so that I am able to gain more out of the lesson. Thank you so much for makiing this available. I am really enjoying my White and I am looking forward to when I can upgrade to the next product.
The book was a good download. Used it often.
I have very recently become active in the LDS faith, and am studying much of the church's scriptures for the first time. However, I have been an ardent student of theology as well as philosophy all of my life. Never have I been privileged to read and study such an inspiring account of the gospel, nor felt the love of an author for his subject come through the pages like I am finding in the writings of this author. It is both mesmerizing and so inspiring, and I can't put it down. I highly recommend this book to any serious reader of any (or lack thereof) faith.
This book will assist you in feeling the Spirit of the Holy Ghost, and you will feel good no matter what chapter you read. It is not necessary to read from beginning to end although it is a good way to read it. Another great way to read this book is pick a subject from the chapters in the table of contents that you are contemplating, or you want to learn from, and then read. You will be so glad you did.
Teachings of Presidents of the Church Joseph Fielding Smith takes in Joseph's entire life from his horse and buggy days to loving to fly jet planes and travel the entire world. Just one instance in his amazing life In the last part of the 1930's and just before the start of World War II he was in Europe on a mission for the church. When war became unavoidable the church put him in charge of getting over two hundred missions out of the un save countries. Some stayed in Europe but most were sent back to the states.
The book will be a great study for this year.
The "Teachings of the Presidents" series all have wonderful content. They're filled with the wisdom of men who devoted their lives to serving Jesus Christ, often in incredibly difficult situations. I'm delighted that the Church has made them available free on !
Because I think of these books as each being a part of one wonderful series, if you get the impression I've copied & pasted the same review on each one, you'll be exactly right. ;-)
